He was a resident of Secaucus, who was born in Harrison, N.J., and grew up in Rutherford. In addition, Jim is survived by his great grandchildren Donovan, Trevor, and Jacoby Landry; Osiris, Odin, and Orion Jankowski as well as Connor and Joel Short. Military honors will be conducted by American Legion Foltz Zuerlein Post 80 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7725. Early on, he worked for the Shawmut Bank, but knew in his heart his true calling was to work with children, so he earned his Masters Degree in Education at Eastern Nazarene College. Let the family know you are thinking of them. He enjoyed his days playing soccer at both schools and because of his leadership abilities, he was the captain of both teams. He coached soccer at Quincy High School, and later at North Quincy High School. He married Alice Barnett on July 29, 1961 at St. Peter's Church in Belleville, New Jersey.
